Flud 4080 “Tribe” Watch

Flud kicks it abstract and goes tribal with the new 4080 watch from their Spring / Summer 2009 collection. Taking some serious design cues from A Tribe Called Quest’s classic album covers including The Low End Theory, Midnight Marauders and Beats, Rhymes and Life, the 4080 features Tribe’s iconic red and green zebra print pattern on the band, plus familiar graphic symbols incorporated in the watch face.

Conart keeps hip-hop’s wackiest MC alive and kicking with the O.D.B. graphic tee. Paying homage to the Wu Tang Clan’s most eccentric member, the t-shirt features a classic portrait of Ol’ Dirty striking a pose on the front. The back highlights a long list of Mr. Bastard’s stage names which he accumulated over the course of his illustrious career including O.D.B., Osiris, Big Baby Jesus, Ason, Dirt Dog, Dirt McGirt, Joe Bananas, Old Dirty Chinese Restaurant, plus his real name, Russell Jones.

Carhartt teams up with gifted Comic industry veteran Mark Chiarello on their latest Spring / Summer 2009 advertising campaign. Chiarello, a highly acclaimed Comic Industry painter, art director and editor,  has worked on a variety of projects including Batman/Houdini: The Devil’s Workshop, Clive Barker’s Hellraiser, Hellboy and Star Wars: The New Essential Chronology. The ad campaign for Carhartt Streetwear features a series of illustrations depicting models wearing pieces from the brand’s Spring / Summer 2009 collection.

Mishka takes their ghouls, ghosts and goblins theme from clothing to vinyl toys, thanks to a collaboration with Japanese toy maker Gargamel. Contrary to most cute and cuddly vinyl toys of today, the ghastly collectible figurine stays true to Mishka form by packing enough frightening features to scare a toddler silly. Neatly packaged in a plastic bag, featuring horror flick style comic book art, the limited edition Hedoran Kaiju (or monstrous beast) comes finely articulated in classic Mishka colors.
